The schools of Potenza protagonists of energy saving
Comune di Potenza, Teatro Stabile, October 25th 2018
The "Schools4energy - The schools protagonists of energy saving" initiative was born in the municipality of Potenza (Italy) as part of the Local Living Lab activities of the PrioritEE project. This initiative is aimed at promoting behavioural changes for a sustainable use of energy through a recreational-educational path that starts from schools and involves, with a domino effect, the families of young protagonists and the entire community.
Schools4energy, conceived by the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis and the Società Energetica Lucana and sponsored by the Municipality of Potenza and Legambiente Basilicata, sees the participation of four Schools owned by the Municipality of Potenza (A. Busciolano, L. La Vista, G. Leopardi and Don L. Milani) which have welcomed the proposal of the coordination group with great enthusiasm involving Kindergarten, Primary and Lower Secondary institutions.
On October 25, 2018, at the Teatro Stabile of Potenza, the opening ceremony of Schools4energy took place, marking the official start of the "competition for energy efficiency" among the schools. This event was attended by the sponsoring partners and a representation of the students and staff of the participating schools which will playfully compete to save energy and promote the adoption of good practices aimed at saving energy both at school and home.
